Tuesday, May 19, 2015

Harcourt, May 17th.

After a week of weather that could only be described as very ordinary and not much fun for cycling, Harcourt turned on a perfect day for the Metro Road Championships on Sunday May 17th.

A Huge contingent from Blackburn across virtually all categories was in attendance with 23 riders making the trip to Harcourt.

JM15: Harry Morgan (3rd), Sam Gallagher, Jonathan Marr, Mark Hapke.
JW15: Makenzie Betts.
JM17: Xabier Twyman, David Somers, Chris Gardner, Conall Murphy, Godfrey Slattery.
JW17: Ally Rose Ogden (2nd).
JM19: Connor Davidson, Liam Hapke.
Elite M: Fergus Sully, Alex Morgan, Craig O'Sullivan.
Mas2: Tim Renowden (4th).
Mas3: Cameron Senese (2nd), David Fitzsimons (3rd).
Mas4: Rob Monteath (4th). Vaughan Webber.
Mas5: David Gallagher.
WMas4: Doris Marr (1st).

Congratulations to the placegetters, and well done to all riders.

A special mention must be made of Doris who may have been the only rider in her category but she hung on with the Elite Women and finished in 4th place overall only a minute behind the Elite Women's winner.
Unfortunately Godfrey suffered a puncture with about 10km to go and recorded a rare DNF.

Special thanks to Daryl Perkins for making the trip to add his coaching expertise and to Richard Stringer for transporting the club tent to provide some shade and bringing 'Bear' the faithful mascot for the day.

The options are limitless. Understanding what’s in place from a design perspective is key if you're to move fast and recognise where the opportunities to innovate are, as opposed to needing to challenge what has been established and coming off as someone unable to understand the requirements.

In reality there shouldn't be too many calls to action on a page – everything should drive to that final 'What can I do here?'
